Identity Services is Adobe's implementation of Federated ID and OAuth 2.0 for authentication of Adobe ID users and authorization for Adobe resources.

As a mission critical system within Adobe, Identity Services has built a highly available, multi-region platform capable of surviving a myriad of failure scenarios. We are constantly improving the system’s architecture to further the functional aspects our clients need and expect, while providing a resilient and reliable service.

All Adobe products and services are using Identity Services for authenticating our customers.

In Bucharest, Identity Services is split into three groups: Identity Platform, Identity Resilience, and Identity Experience.

The Identity Platform is the foundation of Identity Services, used by all Adobe products and services. It handles authentication and authorization while covering APIs, Federation, and standards and storing the customer database. Our mission is to unify these core services into a single, scalable platform that supports Adobe’s growth and evolving business needs.

Our mission is to improve Application Resilience by decomposing our platform into multiple services. At the same time, we are extending the platform's capabilities by focusing on developing new APIs and integrating with other OIDC providers. Azure, Google Workspace, SAML, Clever, Canvas, Classlink, Blackboard, and Google Classroom are just a few of them. Our mission is to let our customers use their IdP when working with Adobe's products or services.
