Shop Local, Shop Forest: Support Promenade Businesses During Construction

The transformation of Lower Forest Avenue is officially underway, marking an exciting new chapter. As the City transitions from a temporary pedestrian setup to a beautifully designed permanent promenade, construction activity will be visible in the area, but one thing remains unchanged: Forest Avenue businesses are open and ready to welcome you.

While you may notice construction crews, fencing, and equipment as improvements progress, the beloved boutiques, art galleries, cafés, and restaurants that define Lower Forest Avenue continue to serve residents and visitors every day.

Now is the perfect time to: - Enjoy a meal at your favorite restaurant - Discover unique finds in independently owned boutiques - Explore inspiring works in art galleries - Pick up gifts and essentials while supporting local entrepreneurs

Construction is temporary. Community is permanent.

Meet Jordan, a sweet and sensitive 4-year-old neutered male black pug mix.

Jordan is a 4-year-old neutered male black pug mix with a loyal heart and a sensitive side. He has been at the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter since July 20, 2024 and is currently our longest resident, patiently waiting for his furever home. Jordan doesn’t always show well in his kennel and can seem protective of his space, but once he feels comfortable, he’s an affectionate couch potato who loves belly rubs and quiet companionship. He enjoys the company of other dogs, especially females his size, and our volunteers rave about what a great walker he is. Jordan would do best in a calm, adult-only home where he can truly relax and thrive. Come meet Jordan today!

The Laguna Beach Animal Shelter adoption procedures are designed to make sure that both the potential family and the animal adopted are in the very best situation possible. The Laguna Beach Animal Shelter is located at 20612 Laguna Canyon Road. For any questions, please call (949) 497-3552.

Renowned artist, Tom Fruin, will be installing a trio of plexiglass and steel sculptures titled “Beacon”, “Duty Calls” and “Rubik’s Cube House” on the lawn at City Hall. January 12 – March 5, 2026 at Laguna Beach City Hall, 505 Forest Ave

A New Tide is an exhibition of recent artwork by Master of Fine Arts students from Laguna College of Art + Design. The new year is a time to reflect on the past and make choices on where we are headed. 2026 will be an eventful year. Cyclical changes, like the tide, influence our lives and alter our sense of normality. These artists employ skills from the past as they adapt to the unknown, aware that the arts are a living and constantly evolving cultural inheritance.
