Meet Freddie, an adorable and playful 3-month-old neutered male fox terrier mix

Freddie is a 3-month-old neutered male white-and-black fox terrier mix with a playful spirit and tons of puppy charm. He came to us in early January and has been keeping everyone smiling ever since — especially when he “talks” to his toys while entertaining himself. Freddie does great with other animals and would be happiest in a home with another canine companion, as he can get a little anxious when left alone. With a buddy by his side, this sweet boy’s fun, affectionate personality really shines. Come meet Freddie today!

The Laguna Beach Animal Shelter adoption procedures are designed to make sure that both the potential family and the animal adopted are in the very best situation possible. The Laguna Beach Animal Shelter is located at 20612 Laguna Canyon Road. For any questions, please call (949) 497-3552.

Free Quit Smoking and Vaping Support for Orange County Residents

The City supports the Orange County Health Care Agency Tobacco Use Prevention Program and encourages residents to take advantage of a free evidence based resource to quit smoking or vaping. The program operates under the 1-866-NEW-LUNG initiative and serves adults 18 years and older who live in Orange County.

Participants may access free cessation services without insurance, including one on one counseling, a personalized quit plan, and nicotine replacement therapy such as patches or gum. Services are available in person, by phone, or via Zoom and are offered in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, and Farsi. These services aim to reduce tobacco related health risks and support long term wellness across the community.

February 20 - April 30, at Laguna Beach City Hall, 505 Forest Ave

Renowned artist, Tom Fruin, will be installing a trio of plexiglass and steel sculptures titled “Beacon”, “Duty Calls” and “Rubik’s Cube House” on the lawn at City Hall. The sculptures are a nod to utilitarian design and structures we usually overlook, casting colorful shadows and reflecting sunlight during the day while interior lighting creates a captivating glow in the evening.

New Exhibition by MFA students from LCAD: A New Tide

January 12 – March 5, 2026 at Laguna Beach City Hall, 505 Forest Ave

A New Tide is an exhibition of recent artwork by Master of Fine Arts students from Laguna College of Art + Design. The new year is a time to reflect on the past and make choices on where we are headed. 2026 will be an eventful year. Cyclical changes, like the tide, influence our lives and alter our sense of normality. These artists employ skills from the past as they adapt to the unknown, aware that the arts are a living and constantly evolving cultural inheritance.
