Meet Rocky, a gentle and sweet 2-year-old neutered male gray-and-white poodle mix.
Rocky is a 2-year-old neutered male gray-and-white poodle mix with a gentle, sensitive nature. He joined us from Orange County Animal Shelter on Thanksgiving Day and is still learning to feel comfortable in new surroundings. Rocky can be a bit timid at first and tends to feel more at ease with female humans and canine companions. Because of his shy and sometimes fearful demeanor, he would do best in a calm home without small children. An empty-nester household or a family with older, quiet children would be an ideal match for him. With patience and a peaceful environment, Rocky is sure to blossom into a loyal companion. Come meet Rocky today!
The Laguna Beach Animal Shelter adoption procedures are designed to make sure that both the potential family and the animal adopted are in the very best situation possible. The Laguna Beach Animal Shelter is located at 20612 Laguna Canyon Road. For any questions, please call (949) 497-3552.
Beautification in Action – 227-237 Ocean Avenue
The City of Laguna Beach’s Commercial District Beautification and Property Maintenance Program is proud to spotlight another successful improvement that enhances the vibrancy and appeal of downtown. This week, attention turns to 227–237 Ocean Avenue (Yuzu Laguna Beach, Little Freebirds, and Breeze & Brew), where a fresh coat of paint and targeted repairs to peeling exterior surfaces have given the property a clean, refreshed, and polished appearance.
These thoughtful improvements have re-energized the building, adding charm and visual interest while reinforcing the welcoming character of the area. Projects like this demonstrate how focused maintenance and aesthetic upgrades can significantly enhance curb appeal and contribute to the overall vitality of the City’s commercial districts.
This update supports the broader goals of the City’s Beautification Program, which encourages commercial property owners to invest in routine upkeep, repairs, and visual enhancements. The City supports these efforts through ongoing outreach, guidance, and partnerships with local businesses and property owners.
The improvements at 227–237 Ocean Avenue join a growing list of enhancements throughout the community, including Wells Fargo (265 Ocean Avenue), Bank of America (299 Ocean Avenue), Bill Mark Gallery (218 Forest Avenue), Hobie Surf Shop (294 Forest Avenue), Bushard’s Pharmacy (244 Forest Avenue), 888 Glenneyre Street, and 304 Forest Avenue (Envy and Martin Roberts Gallery). From refreshed paint and new awnings to a vibrant new mural, these projects collectively reflect a shared commitment to keeping Laguna Beach looking its best.
