As we come to the end of the Spring Term it is a pleasure to share with you all the successes from the recent months. As you scroll through the Newsletter you will see all the wonderful opportunities and learning that has taken place in school and I am sure it will make you all proud. As always your children have continued to make us proud.

Points shop
We continue to celebrate our pupils displaying the school values in school and have had many more visit the Points Shop. It is great to talk to the children about their achievements and see their sense of pride in themselves.
Reading
This term we celebrated the pupils reading in assembly and those who had achieved their bronze reading badges!
valentines disco
Who doesn't like to party?! Our pupils loved the valentines disco this year, it was great to see them dancing, laughing and having lots of fun.
Sean Gaffney visit
What a pleasure it was to welcome Sean Gaffney into school to talk about his experience in the Invictus Games and complete sporting activities with the classes. Thank you for all your donations, we raised a fantastic £2083.22
young voices
Our School Choir did us proud at the Young Voices Concert. What an amazing opportunity for them to be part of. It was a pleasure to take the pupils and amazing to see their faces light up whilst singing with such a large united choir.
world book day
Reading is such an important part of life, it opens so many door ways to different opportunities. It was lovely to celebrate World Book day this year and share stories with friends in school.
keeping safe
This term we invited South Yorkshire Police into school to present and assembly to Year 5 & 6 about how to keep safe on line. We also invited Leeder Safeguarding in to present a workshop to parents/carers. If you or your children have further questions or concerns about online safety please see a member of staff.
comic relief
This year to celebrate and raise awareness of Comic Relief we gave out postcards to children who made us smile. We also raised £120.45 thank you to everyone for your donations.
Science week
Science week was a huge success this year, pupils thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the investigations over the week. Here are the winners...
sporting competitions
Our sporting competitions continue on a weekly basis. Where pupils from different year groups get the the opportunity to experience a variety of sporting activities and compete against other schools. We are very proud of all our pupils that have taken part.
mothers day
We hope all our lovely Mum's had a fabulous Mothers Day. It was so nice to make bracelets with pupils in school and listen to them talk about the different reasons as to why their Mum is special to them.
year 3 / 4 camelot production
Our Year 3 /4 pupil excelled themselves in their Camelot production. It is fair to say they certainly enjoyed themselves. Thank you to all the family members who came to watch the show and show your support. Please see Class Newsletters for photos.
Parent workshops
As always we continue to work together with our families to ensure a strong home/school relationship to best support our pupils. Thank you to everyone who attended our parental workshops offered over the Spring Term.
coffee morning
Thank you to everyone who attended our coffee morning where we discussed communication, strengths and further suggestions. Your views are much appreciated, we will send out feedback after the Easter break.
Break times
This term we have introduced 'Play Monitors' alongside lots of new and exciting activities at playtimes. So far they have been a huge success. School Council will be gathering pupil voice in the Summer Term.
Parents' evening
It was wonderful to see so many of you attend our Parents' Evening this term.
Easter Egg Competition
There have been so many wonderful Easter Eggs brought into the competition this year. It is going to make judging them very difficult! Thank you to those who found time to pop into our exhibition to admire them all.
attendance
We strive for 97% attendance this year and are pleased to share current attendance figures are 94.7%.
Certificates for those on target will be shared in assembly the first week back.
