Winters in the Cold Temperate Deciduous Forest~ Austrian Alps
Winters in the Alps will have temperatures dip down as low as 23 degrees Fahrenheit, and as high as 46 degrees. During this season, tourists come to ski through the tree-covered mountainside or hunt in the thick cover of the forest. As well as the chilling climate, snow comes down by the foot, with an average of 10 to 33 feet of snow per year.
What to Bring During the Winter Season?
If you're more interested in winter sports, than the winter season in the Austrian Alps is the perfect time for you. This may seem obvious, but the most useful things to bring during the winter season are snow suits, goggles, gloves, helmets, and lots of layers. Sleds and snow bikes are available at the resort you will be staying at. Although this season is freezing, your resort, Fürstenhaus Am Achensee, has a heated pool, so you may want to bring a swim suit.
Summers in the Temperate Deciduous Forest
During the warmer season, temperatures range from 59 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
What to Bring during the Warmer Season?
During the summer season in the temperate deciduous forest, guests are advised to bring clothes for warmer temperatures (such as shorts), sunscreen, sunglasses, swimsuits, hiking boots, sneakers and to avoid dark colored clothes. The hotel will supply bike rentals for the mountains or for cycling.
Other Seasons (Spring and Fall)
Temperatures will be in between summer and winter temperatures, depending on the day. Rain is also quite common in the temperate deciduous forest, around 30 to 60 inches per year. Although our tour packages are most commonly purchased in the winter and summer seasons, the spring and autumn seasons will welcome you with quite a sight.
