Audio by Di Tomasso and PMC Fenestria AN IMPRESSIVE PRESENTATION

It happened July 5th 2019

Very impressive presentation to say the least. Thanks to Gary Di Tomasso who gathered a crowd of passionate audiophiles and music lovers to the presentation of PMC's flagship loudspeaker, the Fenestria.

Advanced Transmission Line

The source of PMC’s legendary natural, realistic sound is the Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass-loading technology, professionally proven all around the world.

The source of PMC’s legendary natural, realistic sound is the Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass-loading technology, professionally proven all around the world.

ATL uses energy generated by the bass unit in a much more intelligent, efficient way than speaker designs based on ported or sealed boxes. In ATL loudspeakers, the highly braced cabinet is lined with a multitude of custom-designed acoustic materials that absorb all but the very lowest frequencies. These exit from a front-panel vent, extending the low-frequency response, and creating the impression of a far larger speaker with an extra, ultra-high quality bass unit.

The sound of the Fenestria carries the hallmark of PMC’s transmission line bass notes, they are not chest pounding or in your face, they are tuneful, voluptuous and full-bodied. Think of the sound of low frequency coming out of a Double Bass, rather than a kick drum.
The PMC Fenestria are not “Hi-Fi” sounding speakers, they are not ear-catching nor do they put forth bells and whistles to attract your attention. I would equate them as the Jaguar sedans of High-End Audio, they are conservative, exquisite, refined, steady and smooth sounding. You can listen to the PMCs for hundreds of hours and you will not grow tired of them. Their strong points are the sweet and full-bodied mid-range, combined with bass notes filled with natural harmonic decays.
