Quartz Forest Church #SensingSpirituality - looking for the wild in a tamed landscape

At first glance this is a park, not a forest - where is the wild?

We took some time out to look and become aware of the subtleties. This is no uncharted ocean or Cairngorm mountain range of course, but there is more to be aware of than the obvious.

Trees are planted, but who lives long enough to see them grow? Or can control their growth?
The mighty trees are hosts for abundant smaller plants, lichens, moss and even other trees

The wild sky changes by the moment. This estate held a hospital. The open spaces and green growth set in a landscape that looks over the strath of the Nith were chosen to develop mental health and inspire mindfulness to this day.

From South America, to COP26 in Glasgow. Having delivered a message, returning to the ground it came from.
A grown of green grass, growing.

We have a video of the geese who sung the end of our gathering. You'll have to wait for another post to see that video clip though!
