Characteristics of the open ocean:

  • There is three layers. The sunlit layer, the twilight zone, and the dark zone.( from first to last layer.)
  • Sunlit zone: Mostly sun, not many species of fish.
  • Twilight zone: Most species of fish here. The middle layer.
  • Dark zone: Not many species of fish. None to almost no light in the dark zone. Deepest layer. (1)

Geographic locations:

  • It covers 70% of the entire world.
  • It is around every continent.
  • There are seven different oceans.

  • Rocks
  • Sand
  • Water "there is both fresh and salt water , and there is a ton of water"
  • Amount of sunlight "it impacts the aquatic plant growth of the plants"
