This week our main focus was on families and relationships for our PSHE topic. We did lots of different lessons, thinking about friendships and our families, and celebrating our differences and individuality. We also created some class rules of what we expect from one another while in the classroom. The children all shared lots of lovely ideas and were keen to participate.
This term, year 3 are doing dodgeball! The class got to have two great PE lessons, practicing their throwing and dodging skills.
We started to look at our class reader, Stone Age Boy, and made some predictions before beginning reading it.
In English, we are learning about fables. To gain a better understanding of what a fable is, we read some different examples. The class really enjoyed ‘The lion and the mouse’ so we focused on this particular fable. We created a story map and then the children rewrote their version of the fable.
