Welcome! I'm Courtney R. McClure, and I'm a PhD Candidate at the University of California, Los Angeles, in the Molecular Toxicology Interdepartmental Program. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, I did my Bachelor's in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry at Delaware State University, where I worked with Dr. Harbinder Singh Dhillon on dopamine modulation and embryonic cellular division in C. elegans. At UCLA, I work with Dr. Elissa Hallem, where I study the role of metalloproteases in mediating skin penetration in parasitic nematodes. My ultimate career goals are to gain a tenure track position at a primary research and minority serving institution.
