Bilhah Bengi, a sophomore at North High school with a great personality. What makes this student stand out among the rest however? Bilhah is a successful student in many ways.
Bengi admits that she does procrastinate, however “it is not really procrastination”, she continues with, “I put things off, but not till the very last minute. Instead I have a planner at home where I layout the things I have to get done that week. I prioritize the most important things, while still getting everything done.”
When asked about challenges she faces in sports she commented about wrestling.
She also talked about her struggle with making weight for wrestling competitions. “ I never made weight. My weight class last year was 106lbs and I was always 98lbs or below. I was never able to brake 100lbs last year. It was always difficult because I would be wrestling girls who were 106lbs and just because I was shorter and they were taller, I had to work around it."
Bengi’s involvement in school has gotten her recognized amongst her peers as a very energetic and determined individual.
However some have seen this energy as a reason to judge her. When asked about how she feels about others judgement, Bengi responded with, “I don’t really get offended… it's my personality. If i'm hyper it rubs off on the people around me and it's just like a ‘ Were all in this together ‘ moment.”
Bilhah's Plans for the Future
I have alot of options, because i'm in JROTC, the BioMed program, and AVID. I’ve always known I wanted to be a lawyer but since being in Biomed i've taking the path of neurology and with JROTC I want to do military. Right now i'm sorta debating on what I WANT to do
I have personally known Bilhah for some time now and so far I could say this….
BIlhah is an amazing individual with many sides to her. There are times where she can be the most energetic person in the room, bouncing off the walls.
And other times where she can be the person you need at the very moment, the person who knows exactly what to say in the most difficult of situations. No one should ever be judged by the way they are, because what I found out with meeting Bilhah, the people who express their true selves, are the ones who will remain real through it all.
