One year 24/02/22-24/02/23 Christ is the Answer Ministries

Although the war of Russia against Ukraine forced the international Christ is the Answer ministries to review their activities, the priority - preaching the Gospel by means of various instruments to help people - remained the same.

The CITA missionaries focus on the needy, especially in remote localities, the poor, widows, elderly, disabled who, amid the war, have found themselves in even bigger need. The internally displaced people have constituted one more category the missionaries minister to.

In 2022, we were working for victory, victory of Christ in the hearts of people, reaching war victims out with God’s love.

Therefore, let us present the last year report of the Christ is the Answer ministries.

Ukraine

  • held 7,998 meetings, clubs, face-to-face meetings;
  • visited 2,023 families
  • distributed 837,980 evangelistic newspapers and138,000 copies of 20 types of calendars,
  • arranged 1,137 outreach events, including eye clinics,
  • made 39 trips to the combat zone,
  • evacuated 489 people.

The War Relief Fund has been operating since March 1.

37,000 dollars have been raised to support Ukrainians affected by the war.

Since the spring, a food warehouse for humanitarian aid has been operating in Rivne at the Christ is the Answer church, from where food packages are sent to war zones and for displaced persons.

In the first months of the war, missionaries in the western region of Ukraine (Rivne, Ternopil) and in the Kharkiv region accepted hundreds of displaced persons and helped them to settle for long-term residence or to move abroad.

During the year, the Mission lost two of its own churches in the Luhansk region: the church building and the future missionary center "City of Praise" were bombed Rubizhne and in occupied Svatovo (where the church was purchased in February 2023).

For those affected by the war, CITA held a Food&Hope campaign to raise funds for food packeges. The amount raised was more than 1,100 dollars.

Missionary, Christian author and performer Andriy Vasenda released the second album "We have to fight" in support of the Ukrainian people.

Despite the war in Ukraine, CITA missionaries continue to develop international activities.

Ethiopia

Two large-scale evangelistic crusades were held in the cities of Hassana (March) and Dilla (December). Each of them gathered 100 thousand people. During the spring event, the missionary team opened the Christ is the Answer church and missionary center in Addis Ababa. In December, the first water baptism took place, and the first missionary school was held in winter.

For the first time, an evangelistic newspaper in the Oromo language (the second most spoken in the country) was published.

India

The missionary team visited India to support the missionaries who opened a missionary school in September. In December, the graduation took place, in the same month the media department was opened, 10 thousand calendars were printed in English and Moai Hindi.

Nepal

The ministries continue to support the orphanage.

Mongolia

The director of CITA recorded four evangelistic programs for national television that have already been broadcast nationally.

Latin America

For the first time, a missionary team from Ukraine visited Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras - they established relations with local ministers and churches, conducted educational seminars to make evangelization more effective.

Kenya

In this country, CITA supports the Zamu mission which works with children and youth under the Happy&Holy program.

They helped the poor in Ethiopia, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Bangladesh, India.

Charity eye clinics were held for the first time in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Thailand, and Uzbekistan.

YouTube channels in Amharic, Polish and Mongolian have been launched.

Thanks to partnership and caring people, the missionaries did a lot of useful work and brought hope to thousands of people in Ukraine and beyond.
