This week in Geography the children have been identifying which countries make up the Uk. They used an atlas to identify where they are located on a map and did a great job remembering the capital cities of each country.
They also thought about the geographical characteristics of the UK and looked at features and landmarks. The children used maps to label the countries that make up the UK and identifed the seven continents.
They looked at human and physical features, linking them to landmarks and loved using Google Earth to find out where they are, thinking carefully which country they were located in.
The children enjoyed identifying human and physical features in our local area and thought about what makes their location special taking some great photos of them.
In PE the children practised their balancing, stability and landing skills. They moved around the hall, exploring different ways to take off and land on different objects safely. The children worked well, taking turns and sharing the equipment and created some brilliant jumping patterns.
