Evanston City of gardens

If you take a walk around Evanston, you would notice that accompanying every piece of fine architecture is a even more artistically decorated garden.

Garden culture here dates back to 1910s when the Garden Club of Evanston was founded. Their goal initially was to build gardens that would "perpetuate the cultivation of the flowers that Shakespeare had immortalized in poetry," wrote Eleanor Perkins on the club's website.
