Book of the Month
Small Teaching, authored by James Lang, explores how cognitive theory can improve student learning. Lang provides practical strategies that faculty in any discipline can incorporate into their face-to-face and online courses to improve the learning outcomes of students. The techniques are useful for those who endeavor to make small but significant changes to their teaching practices and course design.
Collections feature a range of open access content, from educational texts, videos, slides, software, virtual labs, and other digital materials, which vary depending on the subject matter. The collections are curated by faculty teams from across the UNC System to support and enhance both face-to-face and online instruction. Each collection complements a high-demand course commonly offered across most UNC System institutions.
