MEN'S SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

Fourth-place finish at the 2022 College Squash Association Men's Team National Championships

No. 4 ranking is the team's second-highest season-ending finish in program history

First time program win over No. 3 Trinity.

First Team All-Ivy

Name First Team All-Ivy League for the third time in his career. Velavan is only the third player in program history to be named All-Ivy League three times. He joins Ramit Tandon (2012-15) and Osama Khalifa (2015-18) on the distinguished list.

CSA First Team All-American

The players earning All-America status have excelled on court throughout both the regular season and the championships. Velavan played #1 for the Lions all year and finished with a record of 5-5, reaching the Quarter finals of the Individual National Championship.

Academic All-Ivy

The award recognizes one player from each of the league's eight men's squash programs for their combined academic and athletic accomplishments. Hall carries a 3.60 as an electrical engineering major in the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Men's CSA Scholar Athletes

The Scholar-Athlete Award was granted this season to varsity juniors or seniors who have played on the team throughout their college career, earned at least two varsity letters, participated in the majority of the team’s matches in the top 10 of the lineup during the season, and achieved a high academic standing at their institution.

WOMEN'S SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

Best Ivy League record of 4-2, marking the program's best winning percentage (.667) in team history.

Regular Season highest ranking of 4th in the country

Finished top 8 at the National Championships for the 7th season in a row

Ivy Rookie of the Year

First Team All-Ivy

Farida is a sophomore playing in her first collegiate season, and earned First Team All-Ivy and Rookie of the Year honors after posting a dual record of 8-1 this season. Mohamed was consistently in the Lions' top match, going 6-1 from the No. 1 and 2-0 at the No. 2 position.

First Team All-Ivy

Sin Yuk is a first-year who had an incredible rookie year and went 8-1 on the season, going 1-1 in the No. 1 position and a perfect 7-0 in No. 2 matches.

Academic All-Ivy

The award recognizes one student-athlete from each of the league's eight women's squash programs for their success on the court combined with their academic accomplishments. McVeigh carries a 3.82 GPA as a neuroscience and behavior major at Columbia College. On the court, she earned five victories this season, including wins in No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 matches.

Women's CSA Scholar-Athletes
