CHOPS THA SAVIOR, The Story

Markeith Lott, born and raised in Newark, New Jersey is well known in “Brick City” as Chops Tha Savior. Although Chops was a childhood nickname, Tha Savior was added: “because I felt that myself and Jersey could save east coast Hip Hop.” Having a father as a professional singer, you can say Chops Tha Savior was born into music. He began singing and while he matured, songs turned to rhymes which led to a transformation into Hip Hop at the young age of 13. At that moment he never looked back.

Chops Tha Savior was hell-bent and full-throttle into pursuing a career as a Hip Hop artist. Just 5 years after writing his first rhyme he was signed to Unified Records and a few years later with Mil Ent. Both labels also guided Chops Tha Savior as mentors and schooled him on the business side of music. He started releasing music in 2003 and to date has a lengthy catalog of music. Impressing major artists with his talent, Chops Tha Savior found himself collaborating with Doitall (Lords of the Underground), Murda Mook, Young Noble (The Outlaws), and DJ Chuck Chillout, who also managed Chops Tha Savior for several years.

Gaining a plethora of respect and recognition not just in Brick City but globally, Chops Tha Savior took onto the stage and opened for legends including 50 Cent, Wu-Tang, Black Moon, Diddy, and even Wendy Williams. “My sound is for 30 and over. It has a captivating blend of innovative and golden-era melodies and vibe. I take my time to craft and master each body of music I release so it can be timeless.”

Currently, Chops Tha Savior is in the studio polishing up his upcoming project which is slated to release in the summer of 2022. He’s also in the middle of a media/radio run to promote his music, as well as his role as producer and CEO of J.A.D.A.T.O Ent.
