In Collective Worship this week we lit the first candle of our Advent Wreath and thought about hope.

Friends of Minera School Christmas Fair
Please join us on Friday for our Christmas Fair.
While the Christmas Fair is fully open at 3:00 p.m., stalls in the school hall will be open from 2:30 p.m.
Thank you for all the lovely donations for our Christmas raffle and tombola. The raffle prizes look amazing and we have plenty of items for our 'prize-every-time' tombola. We are also grateful to the Co-op in Coedpoeth for their generous donation of chocolate items for our tombola.
We will be having a cake stall at the fair, for which we need donations of cakes, preferably on Friday morning. (home made or shop bought.... we don't judge!)
Toys and books would also be useful if you are having a pre-Christmas clear out.
There will be a Christmas stall selling knitted toys, sweet cones and chocolate oranges with hats on. These make great stocking fillers. If you want to pre-order any see a committee member.
Christmas Jumper Day
Friday 9th December
Please wear a Christmas jumper to school on Friday. If you are able, please also make a donation to Save the Children by following the link below.
Christmas Jumper Swap Shop
The Friends of Minera School have had some Christmas jumpers donated so are hoping to hold a Christmas jumper swap shop after school on Tuesday next week. Please send in any jumpers you no longer need and come along to choose a 'new' one.
There will also be the chance to help yourself to donated items of school uniform on the same day.

Children in Minera Kidz Klub have been busy decorating a Christmas tree for the Christmas Tree Festival at St Tudfil's.
Safe
We are currently in the cough and cold season. We have asked children to keep safe by keeping their hands clean with regular washing.
Valued
Year 6 parent, Mrs Edwards has arranged for the company she works for, 'Transcontinental,' to fund a new football kit for the school. Children in Years 3 to 6 have been voting for their favourite kits this week and they have made an excellent choice. Thanks so much to Mrs Edwards. We can't wait to see our new kits when they arrive!

Our Best
Rob Darlington from ActiveWrexham introduced the children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 to Goalball.
Look at our wonderful week of learning. We are very proud of our children for trying their best and not giving up.
