“HALLAMODA- The Fashion” is an artist born in Jamaica, New York.
After losing his younger brother Hanif to Gun violence awakened Moda’s drive to help give back to his community. In doing so he helped raise money for several different mural projects and after school art programs. His efforts to help restore his community was soon recognized, and gained the attention of both NY1 and PIX11. The group RUN DMC also recognized Moda’s talents in regards to a mural he did in Hollis Queens as a memoriam for the late Jam Master Jay.

Soon Moda found himself retreating into the corporate world of fashion retail to pursue his passion for the Arts, thus creating the brand “THEOLDBLACK”.
Hosting a plethora of Art Showcases that featured a collaborative collection of both hand-painted fashions and canvas work known as “New Renaissance”, HALLAMODA was able to bridge the gap between the artworld and fashion world. With his increasing popularity and social media presence, he has been able to find his niche in such markets as New York, Miami and California.
As a brand, THEOLDBLACK made their first designer debut during Swizz Beats’ X Revolt event at Art Basel 2015 where stylist Anaya Hayes showed up wearing a one of-a-kind hand painted fashion garment. Following Art Basel and the success of his “New Testament” fashion showcases soon after at the Queens Botanical Garden, Moda soon found serious recognition as an up and coming star in the fashion world and as a artist. His new found popularity attracted the likes of such superstars as OG Maco, and Derek Wise and allowed a platform to do his first group Art showcase with other artists Eddy Bogaert, Protect Your Heart , Shei Phan and Lucky Rabbit at Art Basel 2016.

Today, HALLAMODA resides in Miami FL, where he continues to bridge the gap between Art, Fashion & Real Estate. Confiding with fellow artists and designers such as Carolina Sarria, Scooter La Forge, Soul Group Universe and Patricia Field, has helped focus his direction to increasing his presence with pop-up stores, additional showcases and captivating a larger audience nationwide. Bringing more appreciation to the soon to be household name HALLAMODA-THE FASHION and all around artist.
