The epiphany symbolizes the marriage of Christ with humanity. The magi took back the light of Christ to all the people that they met. The epiphany in Spain celebrates the arrival of the magi.

Dia de los Reyes Magos begins on Janurary 5th in Spain with a parade that is crowded with many people in every city. The Kings ride horses or large floats.

Children leave their shoes outside on the night of January fifth in preparation for the magi to leave them gifts that they wanted. The children also leave things for the Magi's camels and for the Magi themselves.

In Spain one of the most important parts of Día de los Reyes Magos is Rosca de Reyes or Wreaths of the Kings. It's an oval cake made of dried fruit to symbolize a crown.

Children in Spain will write to all Three Magi or to their favorite King. The Kings names are Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar. They write what they want and their behavior that month. The morning of January 6th they'll find their presents in shoes.
