Revitalized by the opportunities of the Sport Pilot Gyroplane rating, your customers can easily add on the gyroplane pilot privileges by training with one gyroplane CFI until proficient (usually 5-15 hours), then demonstrating that proficiency to another gyroplane CFI. A logbook endorsement and an 8710-11 mailed to the FAA is all that is needed to fully certify your customers to legally operate the Calidus.
There is no:
- Check ride
- Written test
- Night or hood training
- Minimum hours
required to operate the Calidus as a Sport Pilot.
Due to it's low acquisition and operating costs, the Calidus PC can break even for the aircraft owner at just 18 hours a month. Maintenance is straightforward and well documented.
