Relieving Principal's Message
Firstly, I hope that all our families were able to stay safe during Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred and no one sustained any significant property damage. Apart from a few fallen branches our school was lucky enough not to receive any damage. We are very happy to have everyone back at school and learning.
NAPLAN starts on Monday for our Year 3 and 5 students. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate all that they have learned on their schooling journey so far and guide us in where their learning will go next.
Our Intensive Swimming program was postponed last week due to the poor weather and will now take place in Week 9. Information regarding this will come home soon.
I would like to thank each of you who attended our Parent Meet and Greet in Week 5. It was lovely to see you all and have the opportunity to learn more about your child. We value our partnership with our families and look forward to sharing more of theses experiences with you in the future. If you were unable to attend, please reach out to your child’s teacher and organise a meeting for a suitable time.
A reminder to all our families if you haven't yet downloaded and accessed our Parent Portal School Bytes App please do so to ensure your child/ren doesn't miss out of any of our events. We no longer send home permission notes, everything is electronic via this app.

Our school participated in Clean Up Australia Day on Friday 28 February, 2025.
Clean Up Australia Day is an annual environmental campaign that encourages communities across the country to come together and tackle the issue of litter and waste in their local areas. Established in 1990 by Ian Kiernan, the event has grown to become Australia's largest community-based environmental event.
Beyond the immediate impact of reducing litter, this initiative raises awareness about waste management and encourages individuals to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives, ultimately contributing to a cleaner, healthier environment for future generations.
Please join us in celebrating Harmony Day by wearing ORANGE on Friday 21 March 2025.
Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds.
It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
What is Earth Hour?
Earth Hour is the world’s biggest movement to protect our planet.
Every year hundreds of millions of people around the world take part in Earth Hour. For 60 minutes people in more than 7,000 cities in over 190 countries switch off their lights as a gesture of solidarity, to show they care about our planet and its future.
Earth Hour is not just about switching off your lights. The aim is to spark conversations about climate change and inspire positive action to protect our natural world. By working together, we can help shape a brighter future for us all. This year, Earth Hour is at 8:30pm on Saturday 22nd March 2025.
On Friday 21st March, the SRC are asking that every class turn their lights off for just 1 hour.
