The Pocket Press Term 4 | Week 8 | 2025

Inspiring - Inclusive - Empowered

We acknowledge the Minjungbal people, of the Bundjalung Nation, who are the original custodians of the land on which the school proudly stands. We raise our hands to the sky that covers the Aboriginal land. We touch the ground in the care of the Aboriginal land. We place our hands on our hearts in love of the Aboriginal land.

P & C NEWS

SUMMER IN THE POCKET - is coming soon! While it IS a nice little fundraiser SITP has its roots in providing our community with a bit of (often much-needed) relaxation and downtime in the middle of the headlong rush into holidays and end-of-year. A massive Thank You to Camille and the team for working hard to make this a reality for us this year again in the middle of so much busy-ness. CALLOUT: The Cake team are seeking your help to supply cakes and tombola jars for the fundraiser part. If you can make a cake or jar please get your form into the office ASAP! And if you volunteered for a role - ensure you are all over what's needed by contacting Camille or Nikki. NEXT MEETING: Our next community meeting will be in week 3 of term 1. (Day and time TBA.) This will be our annual general meeting (AGM) and as noted in the recent minutes the executive committee will become vacant. This is a solid little support association that is ready to grow along with the school into the future and - in their current format - Winter festival, Summer in the pocket, canteen and any other fundraising activities all rely on a functioning P&C to go ahead. So if you have a skill - or wish to learn - in financials, administration, or leadership, and you enjoy working with others, consider nominating for a role. Executive roles consume about 8-10 hours a term and have all been overhauled for simplicity and ease of function.
