Rev. Dr. Jerret C.Fite

Pastor

Please note our new time 9/10 (Sunday #3)

Oscar (not his real name) has a special message just for the children, their parents and the Children/Youth Ministry leaders of Steele Hill—YOU ARE AWESOME! 🐾 This cheerful pup is holding up his sign to celebrate the incredible job you all did last Sunday. Your Easter speeches were uplifting, inspiring, and full of heart. It was clear how much time, effort, and dedication went into your speech—and it truly paid off! Thank you for sharing your gifts and making the day so meaningful.

Keep shining and spreading that same joy and encouragement to others!

In The Community

From Bishop Leake

The Andrews US Senate Campaign will hold a Community Conversation at Boyd Hill Baptist Church (315 Glenn Street, Rock Hill, SC) on Tuesday, April 21st, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This event is not a campaign rally; rather, Dr. Andrews is eager to hear directly from voters. We would appreciate it if you could share the announcement for this important event with your member churches during services on Sunday, April 12th and 19th. Please also invite your pastors and their congregations to attend. Many local and state elected officials and faith leaders will be present for this conversation. Please find the event flyer and Dr. Andrews’ biography attached for your reference. We are asking that you use the below link to register:  https://www.mobilize.us/dr.annieandrewsforsenate/event/936257/ Peace and Blessings, Bishop Eric Leake Presiding Bishop South Atlantic Episcopal District African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church Episcopal Office 745 Saluda Street Rock Hill, South Carolina 29730

Annie Andrews, pediatrician and mother, is running as Democrat for the U.S. Senate in South Carolina, challenging incumbent Lindsey Graham.

Dr. Annie Andrews is a pediatrician and a Mom, not a politician. She’s spent her entire career serving South Carolina families—not donors and lobbyists—and she’s running for Senate because kids and parents across the state are getting screwed by a system designed to work for the powerful, not the rest of us. After nearly two decades in children’s hospitals, Annie saw how Washington’s failures reach all the way into her exam room every day. Kids shot in their own neighborhoods. Parents forced to ration medication. Families unable to find mental health care. So she got involved in advocacy and policy—and what she saw in the halls of power appalled her. Special interests and lobbyists run the show, and regular people are getting left behind. But Annie isn’t afraid of a fight. She’s taken on Big Pharma, fought for safer schools, and pushed to expand access to health care. She won’t take a dime of corporate PAC money—and she’s not afraid to take on anyone who’s sold out the people she serves. That includes Lindsey Graham, the worst kind of Washington politician. Lindsey stands for nothing and does whatever the donors and lobbyists tell him, whether it’s slashing Medicaid, cutting food assistance for hungry children, or handing out tax breaks to billionaires. So Annie is running against him. In the Senate, she’ll fight for every family to have the chance to raise their kids in safety and with dignity, with access to affordable care, quality public schools, and economic security. Washington needs some healing. And Annie will fight with the same heart, grit, and dedication she brings to caring for her patients every single day. Annie lives in Charleston with her three children, who attend public schools.
