Week 3 Welcome back to our class blog!

English - The children were very excited about writing their own fables this week! Using our plans, we created a story about a small and large animal who help each other out. We then used AI to create images of our own fables which we are going to display. We have also been working on inverted commas this week and hope to include these in our fables.

Maths - This week in maths, we continued to work on our place value. We were able to use our knowledge of place value to order numbers on a number line from smallest to greatest. We have also continued to learn our 8 x tables by singing songs, counting back and forwards on a number line and playing times table bingo.

R.E - In R.E, we looked at what makes us human. The children decided that the fact we can talk and go to school is what makes us human. We also talked about whether we believe we have a soul or not and what a soul might look like. The children were very respectful of different opinions.

Spanish - We continued to learn instructions this week and played Simon says. We also learnt sounds that we don’t have in the English alphabet.

Music - This week, we experimented with different instruments. We looked at how many different ways we could play them. Then, we looked at a setting and thought about what instruments we might hear if we were in that setting.

P.E - We used all our learnt skills so far this year to play games of dodgeball in teams. We came up with some great team names and were very competitive!

We enjoyed some extra playtime on Thursday for being one of the best attending classes! We had 100% attendance last week so have won a non-uniform day too!
