Annual Awards Recognize Student Achievements

Students were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Academy at the 2024 Awards Ceremony and Commencement Exercises.

Remembering Timothy Knox H'96 P'94

Mr. Timothy Knox H'96 P'94, KUA’s seventeenth Head of School passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024. His legacy as an educator pre-dates his arrival on The Hilltop, as does his commitment to three KUA programmatic pillars of academics, athletics, and arts. Head of School Tyler Lewis shared a letter with the community reflecting on Mr. Knox's significant contributions to the Academy.

Becca Main Named Akerstrom Chair of Athletics

Kimball Union Academy announced that Becca Main has been named the Akerstrom Chair of Athletics beginning July 1, 2024.

KUA's athletes had a successful spring season, with both the Varsity Softball and Varsity Boys' Lacrosse Teams playing for the Lakes Region League Championships.

The Rock and Dance Concert and the Jazz and Vocal Concert showcased KUA's talented dancers and musicians including some who took the stage for first-time performances.

Students Produce Art & Literary Magazine

The 2024 issue of The Meridian, KUA's annual art and literary magazine, is now available online. Enjoy student contributions of short stories, poetry, photography, and artwork.

Liz McNamara ’01 Cultivates a Farm Evolution

McNamara chocolate milk is a mainstay in Doe Dining Hall, but the McNamara family's growing enterprise ensures a sweet summer for locals and visitors alike here in Plainfield.

End-of-Fiscal-Year Giving

Howe Dewdney Residence Hall Challenge

We invite you to join the Howe Dewdney Residence Hall Challenge by making a gift of any level to honor 32 years of service by Cynthia Howe H’20, P’06 ‘14 and Murray Dewdney H’20, P’06 ‘14. Thanks to the Borislow Family for generously matching every gift, dollar-for-dollar up to $250,000 to name the Howe Dewdney Residence Hall. With strong support from the KUA Community we’ve reached 54% toward the goal of $250,000.
