SwampBites May 4th - Happy Star Wars Day !

Piano students had a visit from Ed Diaz and Vanessa Crixell. These guests were sponsored by Roland and Romeo Music. The Gunn Piano Lab Students absolutely loved the demonstration and especially the interactive presentation! Bravo to Ed for a great plan and smooth execution. And extra special thanks to Vanessa for sharing they Keytar, which was a favorite of many students. In their reflection responses, here are some things the kids had to say: --I learned that Synthesizers can sound like many things. And I actually have been playing with synthesizers for a long time without knowing. --The most fun thing of the day was getting to try the microphone --I loved the Vocoder-that thing is cool! --I learned ton of things about synthesizers, how they make sound, and about that type of work. --He was funny and let us try out the synthesizer --I learned that a lot of famous musicians use Roland --I loved watching my friends try it out --We got to make beats. That was so awesome! --The keytar was my favorite part --I loved hearing him play --I learned about sound waves and other cool things --I wish we had more time! --I learned about OSC, Filter, AMP, and LFO --Definitely invite them back!! --I learned what type of career path can get me a job as awesome as that.
