Our 3rd - 7th grade students attend the Stations of the Cross every Friday at 1:45pm during Lent. Please make every effort not to check out during this time.

Second grade students dressed up as people who will still be famous 100 years from now as part of their Superkids reading curriculum!

St. Peter Lenten Project

For our school almsgiving project for Lent, we will be raising money to donate to Heifer International. This company helps reduce poverty in 19 countries across four continents – such as Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Kenya, Mexico, and the U.S.

When we donate money to Heifer International, the money goes towards giving a family a better life either through education or nutrition. Our donations can provide an animal to a family in poverty – such as a goat, chickens, or honeybees – or we can send a child to school. We can even provide the means for women to open a small business using the resources they have on their farms.

Congratulations to our February R.O.C.K. Raffle Winners!
In Mr. Thompson's 6th grade Social Studies class, students are learning about ancient Greece. They learned about the Olympics so they held our own 6th grade Olympics. A few of the events that students came up with were: writing The Lord's Prayer as fast as you can, flying a paper airplane the farthest, and planking the longest! Congratulations to our medal winners in each class!

Thank you to all of our families for donating money for your students to wear their favorite shoes. Our school raised $508 for the Archdiocese of New Orleans Missions - "Children Helping Children".

Congratulations to our students who won their division in the annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest and the Soccer Challenge!

The St. Peter Knights of Columbus, Council 12906, held its Basketball Free Throw Contest and a Soccer Challenge. The contest is held under the leadership of Diocesan Administrator - NE, Arthur McDowell Jr., who is also our District Deputy (District #14). The Program Director who is ultimately responsible for ALL our Faith in Action Programs is Deputy Grand Knight Gerald Nuss. Our Community Director who is the man in charge on the floor is Knight Joe Reich. There was a great turn out and these participants seen here are our winners. Thank you to all who participated and we look forward to seeing all of you at our next event.
