A MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

Ready or not, “Manic May” has arrived, bringing with it a whirlwind of energy, excitement, and emotion. From concerts and class parties to proms, playoffs, and year-end celebrations, this month is full of moments that remind us just how fast the school year (and childhood) can fly by.

Whether you're eagerly anticipating summer or feeling all the feels about your student’s next big step, a new grade, a new school, or even graduation, we hope you’ll find time to pause and take it all in. These are precious moments that become memories.

I frequently hear from parents this time of year: “It feels like just yesterday we were walking into 4K, and now we’re preparing for graduation.” This journey moves quickly. Sometimes way too quickly. So wherever you are in it, cherish the little things: the proud smile after an art show, the story shared from the backseat on the car ride home, and the high-five after a great game.

Every milestone, big or small, is a reminder of how much our students are growing. And behind every achievement is effort, determination, and support from both home and school.

So yes, May might be “manic,” but it’s also meaningful. Take it in. Cherish it.

Thank you for the opportunity to walk alongside you through it all. We are grateful for your partnership and the privilege of being part of this incredible journey.

Parent Experience Survey Results

We received the results from our Parent Experience Survey. The district’s overall mean is 4.37 (on a five-point scale) and continues to be a strong measure that demonstrates the high degree of satisfaction parents have for the work we do each day. We received strong participation from families across our system with 1,879 having taken the survey. The highest-rated item was: The school is clean and well maintained (4.59). The lowest-rated item was: I am informed about my child’s learning (4.20), which continues to be a focus across all buildings.

Thank you to each and every one of you for making time to complete the survey and provide feedback about your experiences within our system. We have much to celebrate as a district. Building-level results are in the process of being shared by principals, and action plans will be developed by each respective school.
