PreK–2 Students Celebrate the 100th Day of School

Activities highlight counting, grouping, and creative learning

PreK–2 students at Otselic Valley recently celebrated the 100th Day of School by rotating through classrooms to participate in a variety of fun, 100-themed activities. Throughout the celebration, students put their skills to the test by completing tasks in 100 seconds, such as jumping in place, and practiced counting and grouping by sorting candy into 10 sets of 10. Students also created their own 100 Day books and decorated festive 100th Day hats. As part of the festivities, students had their photos taken using a special filter to get a glimpse of what they might look like at 100 years old. Many students and staff also joined in the fun by dressing up as 100-year-olds for the day. The celebration provided an engaging way for students to practice important math and counting skills while enjoying a memorable milestone in the school year.
