Eco Club is Making a Difference

The ECO Club at École Quarterway Elementary have been busy clearing invasive species and creating vibrant learning spaces in the school's adopted park (Koram Park). What a positive impact they're making on our environment!

Education Committee Meeting

At the Education Committee Meeting on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, the committee heard from the Department of Learning Services about the Strategic Plan in Schools; reviewed the Year End video showcasing schools supporting the Board Goals; and the committee recommended the Board of Education approve several BAA courses.

Pride Month

Pride Parade this Sunday! Nanaimo’s Pride Parade is this Sunday, June 9 at 11 a.m. Join the NDTA, CUPE and NLPS in the parade by meeting in the parade staging location, downtown on Old Victoria Road, no later than 10:30 am. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

The forecast calls for warm and sunny weather. Expect to be outside for a couple of hours. Please remember to bring your own reusable water bottle- there will be water jugs for refills.

Pride Prom

Register to join us on June 20th for an exciting evening of Drag, lip-sync battles, photo booths, games, and prizes! This event is perfect for Grades 10-12 students who are looking to make new friends and expand their High School Queer-Straight Alliance (QSA) community. Don't miss out on this fun-filled opportunity to connect, express yourself, and celebrate diversity! Plus, pizza and drinks are provided for all attendees.
