Born & raised in Zimbabwe, she moved to the UK when she was 12 years old. She has also lived in USA, Greece & New Zealand where she developed a love for exploring different cultures.
Nyasha Michelle is also a documentary maker, having pitched, produced, and co-shot several BBC documentaries, including "Bride Price", which explores the complexities of bride price across Africa; "This Is Amapiano", capturing the global rise of the music genre. and "Stranded: Exposing the UK’s immigration scammers", investigating widespread fraud in the region.
FUN FACT: In less than a year of its launch, With Nyasha Michelle grew to 85,000 subscribers on YouTube and successfully filmed four seasons, two of which were produced in Africa, with Season 2 shot in South Africa and Season 4 in Zimbabwe.

"Bride Price" is a BBC iPlayer & Newsbeat documentary that Nyasha Michelle pitched, narrated, self-shot, produced & co-edited. It is on the African tradition of "Lobola" or "Roora" where a groom pays money for his bride to her family before marrying her.
Nyasha was one of the UK filming Producers for the highly anticipated; "This is Amapiano" documentary for BBC Africa & BBC 1Xtra.
Below is the very first video that Nyasha Michelle pitched and shot for BBC Africa. It is on renowned tailor Tapiwa Dingwiza who sews braille on her clothes.
In this piece, Nyasha Michelle visited and filmed the Igbo community in Liverpool who were raising money to rebuild their beloved community centre.
FUN FACT: Nyasha started at BBC in an entry level job as a runner at the primetime programme "The One Show". She worked her way up to a shooting researcher role before moving on bigger opportunities. Below is one of the pieces she co-filmed on England's time in the Euros 2020.
