Hello, I'm Ms. Lili. I've been an educator for over twenty years. I have taught in public schools, tutoring centers, private co-ops and other organizations. In 2002, I obtained a dual bachelor's degree in English and Information Technology at Point Park University. I am also a multi-media artist. Integration of technology and art in my classroom is the core of my teaching approach and I encourage my students to explore their creative abilities.
Top 3 takeaways that I have noted from this course:
1.) Fostering diversity and inclusion - "What I see, can be me." I intend to continue to support diversity and inclusion in my class by asking students to share their cultures and beliefs with others in the classroom and perhaps incorporate some of them in our projects whenever possible. I make it a point to provide equal access to technology and supplies for each and every one of my students.
2.) Innovations in distance learning - I use cloud tools, moodle, dropbox and google drive in my classes. These tools help to streamline course delivery and communication with my students. This is a massive improvement to correspondence courses of the past that often involved cumbersome workbooks and snail mail!
3.) Asking students to share creativity - My class requires completion of both individual and group projects. We engage in weekly workshops and demonstrations of student projects and creations. I display their work on a class webpage and hold periodic contests to decorate mood boards or other items in class.
How do I plan to incorporate Adobe Education Exchange Resources in my curriculum?
I have included 4 projects from the list of resources included in the Adobe Education Exchange collection of teaching resources. We will complete the projects listed below during the school year and we will make numerous other creative projects using Adobe tools and printer.
