Biography

Urbi's creative journey began as a dancer, singer, and musician. After countless nights spent on the dancefloor, during lockdown she honed her craft as a DJ, earning an impressive following since she started playing out to crowds in 2023.

Since then Urbi has played iconic stages across the UK and Europe from Parklife, The Warehouse Project, Boomtown, XOYO London, Ministry of Sound, MiNT Festival, We Out Here Festival and Amsterdam Dance Event to Manchester institutions like The Loft, Progress, Amber's, Hidden, Ramona, Joshua Brooks and SOUP.

Along the way, she's shared stages lineups with a range of artists who have shaped her own musical journey including Lauryn Hill & The Fugees, Black Coffee, Kerri Chandler, Purple Disco Machine, Disclosure, Cinthie, Dennis Quin, MJ Cole, Brawther, TSHA, salute and DJ Senc.

Now firmly rooted in Manchester’s electronic music community, Urbi is a resident with NOT BAD FOR A GIRL, DO AS YOU PLEASE, Reform Radio, and ICN (Ibiza Club News) Radio, allowing her to share her distinctive sound with listeners globally. Staple Music, her event brand and soon to be record label is dedicated to inclusivity and the amplification of underrepresented voices in house music. Urbi is the curator, promoter, and A&R, often keeping an ear to the ground for and nurturing emerging diverse talent and creating spaces and events where everyone feels welcome.

After a successful debut release with 'Play It Back' on NOT BAD FOR A GIRL’s EQUAL PARTS imprint and with her first full EP in the works, Urbi’s story is only just beginning. Rooted in community, driven by creativity, and fuelled by a love for house music, she continues to carve out her place as one of Manchester’s most exciting rising talents.
