What is this all about?
We want to hear from you during your time as an Arizona Wildcat. This is your opportunity to give us your insight and perspective on the technologies you use in and out of class. As a University of Arizona student, you have access to many technologies at no extra charge. Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft and Google and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are all part of the Wildcat experience.
This study will explore how you apply these products either in class or for personal usage. We also want to discover if knowing how to use these products will be helpful in your career after you leave the University of Arizona.
You might wonder why we care about these applications and your experience. Well…we spend a lot of money on making these applications and others available to all students for no extra charge. We are interested to find out what kind of impact they make on your learning, your personal usage and in your first job. An Institutional Review Board responsible for human subjects research at The University of Arizona reviewed this research project and found it to be acceptable, according to applicable state and federal regulations and University policies designed to protect the rights and welfare of participants in research.
What would I need to do?
This is not a big-time commitment. You will be asked to fill out an online survey. The survey will take about 10 – 15 minutes. Based upon your survey we may invite you to participate in either a group or individual interview to tell us more about your experience with the applications. These interviews will be one hour.
We would like to keep you in the study all the way to your time at UA and conduct an exit interview with you once you graduate and head into your first job experience. This last interview will be about 30-45 minutes.
You can decide you no longer want to be part of the study anytime. Just let us know and we will stop reaching out to you and even toss away your data if you desire.
What is in it for me?
While we cannot not offer you any monetary rewards for participating in this research, we will offer training workshops free of charge giving you the ability to increase your skills in theses applications. We will also award digital badges for participation. You can post these on social media sites like LinkedIn to increase your knowledge base and resume.
