We departed Paris by fast train for Bordeaux (aka mini Paris). After settling into our new digs, we headed off to join the walking tour of the old town where we were entertained by a young and enthusiastic multi-lingual local who originated from Saint-Jean-de-Lux in Spain right on the French boarder and a town we will be walking through as part of our Camino del Norte.
We have been pleasantly surprised by the old town of Bordeaux and have enjoyed walking the streets and finding beautiful squares and city gateways. The town also seems to be filled with a youthful energy which becomes more evident in the wee hours of the morning!
Tomorrow we start our cycling adventure where we will ultimately finish in Biarritz, but tomorrow we will ride out to the famous Margaux wine region and stay an evening in a Château.
