This welcome guide is going to walk you through everything you need to know about the process of a boudoir shoot with Kelly Love Boudoir! If you still have questions after reading this, we can absolutely plan a phone conversation to go over all of the information.

I'm Kelly, the owner and lead photographer behind Kelly Love Boudoir. My goal during your session is to make you as comfortable as possible as well as make it super fun because you're putting your trust in me and I truly believe you DESERVE to have the most amazing experience.
A boudoir session is more than just photos taken on a professional camera, but a way for you to feel uplifted, confident, and empowered. We as women need to believe in ourselves, and when you take a moment to pamper yourself with this kind of photography session, I want you to feel fierce AF in doing so!

So What Is Boudoir?
The word boudoir itself derives from a French word which means a "woman’s private salon, dressing room, or bedroom." In all honesty, it's just a fancy word for women's intimate portraiture. Boudoir can be invigorating and each session can have a variety of styles, some of which include being flirty, fun, cute, sexy, beautiful, feminine, and intimate. In fact, if you are on a journey of self-discovery, in need of a confidence boost, or just want to express yourself, a boudoir session can be the very thing you’ve been looking for.

What To Expect
The Process
1. Choose A Date
The first thing to do is choose a date for your session! We hold Boudoir sessions on Saturdays at 11:00am or 1:00pm. Most of our clients take the day off to really take advantage of the entire pampering experience.
2. The Prep
Leading up to your session you'll receive a few emails to help you prepare. Preparing for your shoot can be exciting and I am here to help you with any questions and concerns you may have.
3. The Shoot
Yay shoot day! When you come into the studio on the morning of your shoot, we will start with refreshments and outfit preparations. The outfits we choose will make you look like a beautiful bombshell. You do not need to know how to pose prior to the session because we will choose poses that accentuate your best features and are perfect for you. We want you to be stress free, enjoy yourself, and walk out of your boudoir sesh glowing with newfound confidence.
4. Reveal and Ordering Session
At the end of your session, we will choose a date for you to come back to the studio for your image reveal! This appointment is when you'll get to see your gorgeous images for the first time and choose how you'd like to keep & display them all. Ordering appointments take approximately 1 hour.
If you haven't already purchased your products, most clients will do so during this appointment. At your viewing appointment, you'll be able to see samples of all the products we offer. You'll be able to touch and feel what you're ordering before you buy!
5. The Products
We promise that your images will be so good you'll be tempted to buy them all! Most of our products can take up to 4 weeks to be shipped to the studio once everything is paid in full! Once they arrive at the studio and go through our own quality check, we will reach out to schedule a time with you to come into the studio to pick them up! Shipping arrangements can be made for our clients who do not live close to the studio.
What To Wear
One of the keys to a successful session is having the proper wardrobe. You'll want to choose clothing that's comfortable, fits well, flatters your body, makes you feel sexy, and displays the total BOMBSHELL you are. At Kelly Love Boudoir, we have a client closet (sizes S-XL) that you are more than welcome to browse through and utilize for your session that includes lingerie, robes, and jewelry. During your consultation, we can help you choose a variety of pieces to wear for your Boudoir session should you decide to utilize it.
*Outfit Recommendations:
- Bodysuits: Classic, flattering, and always in style. These come in a variety of colors, materials, are flattering on all body types, and are everyone's best friend.
- Bra & Panty Set: Sultry, yet simple. Plenty of fabrics and colors available for a natural and sexy look! Very popular!
- Sweater/Flannel/Button Down Shirt: These give off such a fun, powerful vibe. Revealing, yet concealing. They tend to leave a little more to the imagination.
- Robes: Pairing a robe with your lingerie can be a great place to start your shoot. Feeling a little nervous? A robe is a perfect way to give off a flirty vibe.
*General Outfit Info:
- Outfits: Make sure to bring 3-4 outfits. If you're unsure exactly which outfits to bring, my motto is "bring it all!" so you have plenty of choices the day of your shoot.
- Black & Nude: Make sure to bring one black & one nude bra & panty set just in case they need to be worn under other outfit choices. It's better to have them just in case!
- Packing and Tags: Carefully pack your outfits to avoid wrinkles and make sure all tags and stray threads are removed.
- Accessories: If you enjoy jewelry, bring some with you! Scarves, hats, and other accessories can be a fun addition if they represent you and your style. Also, be sure to remove any hair ties from your wrists prior to the session.

Frequently Asked Questions
*What can I do to prepare at home for my shoot?
- Drink lots of water and STRETCH before you get to the studio. Some of these poses will be a real workout so you'll want to make sure you aren't sore the next day. Hydration is key for both your muscles and your skin. Don't forget to moisturize!
- Your hands and feet will be displayed in the photos. Many of our clients prefer to get a manicure and pedicure beforehand, but it is not necessary if you like to paint your own nails. Classic, neutral colors, or French manicures show up best on camera. You can even add a little glitter nail polish on top for that added sparkle!
*What should I bring to my session?
- Bring a bra & underwear set with you- black and/or tan are the most popular. These are great to have if you decide to wear them underneath any of our Client Closet pieces.
- Any jewelry, props, or special accessories to add that extra flair to your shoot.
*What can I do if I have insecurities about my body?
- Girl, we all have them! With the right posing and lighting, we can maximize the assets you love and take focus off of the areas that aren't your favorite. We've got this!
*How far in advance should I book my session?
- If you plan on giving your images as a gift to someone special, we highly recommend booking your session at least 1-2 months before you need to gift them. Though we typically book out a few months at a time so it would be best to inquire sooner rather than later!
*What if something comes up and I can't keep my session date?
- All session fees and deposits are non-refundable. Any deposit or session fee can be used within 1 year for another session if the cancellation occurs up to 48 hours prior to the session.
*What can I expect to spend at my Reveal & Ordering Appointment?
Purchases vary depending on what our clients want to take home with them. Our Collections include albums, wall art, prints, digital images, and a variety of bonus items and start at $1100. We also offer an A La Carte menu for individual purchases. It all depends on what your heart desires.
*How can I pay for the Session Fee and Image Purchase?
Many of our clients utilize Venmo or PayPal for purchases. I also offer in-house financing for pre-payment or post-payment options. You are, of course, always welcome to pay with cash or credit/debit cards as well.

Payment Plans
Investing in your boudoir images will leave you with tangible memories. We offer three payment options.
1) Venmo, PayPal, Credit Card, or Cash
All four of these options are always accepted on the day of your ordering session.
2) Diva Dollars
The Diva Dollars pre-payment program allows you to take your time paying off your collection BEFORE you even come in! Then on the day of your Reveal and Ordering appointment, you don’t have to worry about such a large expense all at once! You can enjoy the experience and you can always upgrade if you end up loving more images.
The Diva Dollars program allows you to pre-pay for your desired collection for up to 6 months in advance then your Diva Dollars balance is applied to your order on reveal day!
3) PayPal Credit
Applying for PayPal Credit is another option for you. They offer no interest for 6 months, and you get to have your products ordered immediately. You can CLICK HERE to apply. Decisions are made in just seconds.
