WORLD URBAN CAMPAIGN - ACTIVITIES

#HOUSINGMATTERS CAMPAIGN

A global campaign to ensure that housing is recognized as a fundamental need that shapes our environment, well-being, and planet's future. Because housing matters, we need to unite and act together.

Because there is a housing crisis worldwide that affects at least two billion people, by 2030, 3 billion people, about 40 per cent of the world’s population will need access to adequate housing.

BECAUSE adequate housing has become an emergency, housing is the first line of defence against climate change and health risks. Homelessness is putting millions of lives at risk.

BECAUSE Housing can dramatically reduce carbon emissions, efficient housing design, using low-carbon materials, carbon capture, reuse, and zero waste approaches, can radically reduce the environmental impacts of the housing sector.

BECAUSE Housing is more than a roof over our heads, housing is also about providing basic services for people to live in dignity and access to places to thrive.

URBAN THINKERS CAMPUS 9.0

It aims to foster collaboration among partners to implement Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 and the New Urban Agenda by 2036.

Seven Urban Thinkers Campuses have already been conducted in 2024. Check the calendar and take part in the upcoming sessions.
