Korea Women's Soccer Holds 2nd consecutive friendly match with the Philippines

The South Korean women's national soccer team will play two consecutive games against the Philippines.

The Korea Football Association announced on the 25th that it will hold a "New World E-Mart Invited Women's National Football Team Friendly Match" against the Philippines on April 5th and 8th.

Both matches will be held at Icheon Sports Complex, and kick-off time is undecided.

The Philippine women's national team is a dark horse of Asian women's soccer, which is lower than South Korea, which is ranked 39th in the FIFA rankings, but is becoming more powerful with a large number of American players joining. It reached the semifinals at the 2022 Women's Asian Cup, and played in the 2023 Women's World Cup to beat Switzerland.

The Korean women's team has had four showdowns with the Philippines so far, and has won all of them. The most recent showdown was in a group league match of the Hangzhou Asian Games last year, in which Korea won a landslide 5-1 victory thanks to Son Hwa-yeon's hat trick.

The list of players who will participate in the match against the Philippines has also been announced. As this match will take place during the FIFA Women's A-match period, all players from overseas leagues can participate. Coach Colin Bell even called up Cho So-hyun and Choi Yu-ri (Birmingham City), Ji So-yeon (Seattle Lane), Casey Fair (Angel City), and Lee Young-joo (Madrid CFF) who will play in the U-20 Women's Asian Cup for the first time. Nam Seung-eun (Osan Jeong-bo), who recently played in the U-20 Women's Asian Cup, has been selected as a member of the A-team. 토토사이트 순위
