Gwybodaeth Allweddol / Key Information
'My School App'
Ein bwriad yw sicrhau sianeli cyfathrebu cadarn er mwyn sicrhau bod rhieni yn derbyn gwybodaeth yn amserol am ddigwyddiadau a materion addysgol. Rydym wedi buddsoddi yn yr ap 'MySchoolApp' a gwelwyd nifer o rieni yn ymrwymo i'r cyfrwng cyfathrebu. Dyma yw ein sianel cyfathrebu gyda rhieni sy'n caniatau i'r staff rhannu dyddiadau allweddol, newyddion a negeseuon allweddol gyda chymuned yr ysgol. Gwerthfawrogom pe bai pob rhiant yn ymrwymo i'r dull yma o gyfathrebu. Pe bai argyfwng ysgol, dyma'r cyfrwng byddwn yn ei ddefnyddio i gyfathrebu gyda rhieni a staff. Ein bwriad yw gwneud defnydd llawn o'r ap felly anogaf i bob rhiant ddefnyddio'r ap. Bydd rhaid gwneud cais drwy ebost am fynediad i'r ap ac mae cymorth ar gael o'r swyddfa ar ddefnydd yr ap pe bai angen.
Our intention has been to ensure robust communication channels to ensure that parents receive timely information about events and educational issues. We have invested in the 'MySchoolApp' app and have seen the majority of parents commit to this medium of communication. This is our communication channel with parents which allows the staff to share key dates, news and key messages with the school community. We would appreciate it if all parents would commit to this method of communication. If there is a school emergency, this is the medium we would use to communicate with parents and staff. Our intention is to make full use of the app so I encourage all parents to use the app if you are not currently doing so. An application must be made by email for access to the app and help is available from the office on the download and use of the app if needed.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you need any help or guidance.
Colli Ysgol Colli Cyfle / Miss School Miss Out
Mae pob diwrnod ysgol yn bwysig. Mae pob diwrnod a gollir yn ei gwneud hi'n anoddach dal i fyny, a gall arwain at gyflawniadau is o ran darllen, ysgrifennu a rhifedd. Mae pob diwrnod y mae plant a phobl ifanc yn ei golli yn effeithio ar eu gallu i wneud cysylltiadau cymdeithasol pwysig a chyfeillgarwch ag eraill. Mae llawer o resymau pam y dylai plentyn fynd i'r ysgol, sef: Datblygu'n ddysgwyr uchelgeisiol, galluog sy’n barod i ddysgu drwy gydol eu hoes. Bod yn gyfranwyr mentrus, creadigol sy’n barod i chwarae eu rhan yn llawn yn eu bywyd a’u gwaith. Datblygu'n ddinasyddion egwyddorol, gwybodus yng Nghymru a'r byd. Bod yn unigolion iach, hyderus sy’n barod i fyw bywyd cyflawn fel aelodau gwerthfawr o gymdeithas. Mae presenoldeb rhagorol yn yr ysgol yn caniatáu i'n plant a'n pobl ifanc gael y dechrau gorau posibl mewn bywyd. Os nad yw eich plentyn yn mynd i'r ysgol yn rheolaidd, efallai y bydd pryderon ynghylch materion diogelu yn cael eu codi am eu lles a'u cynnydd.

Not attending school regularly, a day here or there doesn’t seem like much, but absences add up. Two days a month is equal to 4 weeks a year which is over one year of lost learning from Year 1 to Year 13. Every school day counts, each day missed makes it harder to catch up, and can lead to lower achievements in reading, writing and numeracy. Every day missed impacts on children and young people’s ability to make important social connections and friendships. There are lots of reasons why a child should attend school: To develop as ambitious, capable learners, ready to learn throughout their lives. To become enterprising, creative contributors, ready to play a full part in life and work. To mature as ethical, well-informed citizens of Wales and the world. To become healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society. Excellent attendance at school allows a child to have the best possible start in life. If your child does not attend school regularly, safeguarding concerns may be raised about their welfare and progress.

Yn ein hysgol ni, mae presenoldeb prydlon yn allweddol i sicrhau bod pob plentyn yn cael budd llawn o’i addysg. Mae cyrraedd ar amser nid yn unig yn helpu'ch plentyn i ddechrau'r diwrnod yn gadarnhaol ond hefyd yn tarfu cyn lleied â phosibl ar ddysgu. Sylwch ei bod yn ddyletswydd arnom i hysbysu rhieni a gofalwyr os yw presenoldeb disgybl yn isel neu os yw'n gyson hwyr, oherwydd gallai hyn arwain at anfon llythyr i fynychu cyfarfod presenoldeb i wella cyfraddau presenoldeb a phrydlondeb. Mae eich cydweithrediad yn hanfodol i helpu ein holl ddisgyblion i ffynnu.
At our school, punctual attendance is key to ensuring every child receives the full benefit of their education. Arriving on time not only helps your child start the day positively but also minimises disruption to learning. Please note that it is our duty to notify parents and carers if a pupil's attendance is low or if they are consistently late, as this may lead to the issuance of a letter to attend an attendance meeting to improve attendance and punctuality rates. Your cooperation is essential in helping all our pupils thrive.
Yn dilyn gwyliau’r Pasg, bydd llythyrau presenoldeb yn cael eu hanfon at rieni a gofalwyr i’w hysbysu o gyfraddau presenoldeb presennol eu plentyn/plant.Bydd y llythyrau hyn yn cynnwys crynodeb cyffredinol o bresenoldeb, ac, os yw’r gyfradd presenoldeb yn syrthio o dan y trothwy disgwyliedig mae’n bosibl y rhoddir Hysbysiad Gwella Presenoldeb hefyd, yn unol â chanllawiau Cyngor Sir Gaerfyrddin. Diolch am eich cefnogaeth barhaus i hybu presenoldeb rheolaidd a phrydlon.
Following the Easter break, attendance letters will be sent out to inform parents and carers of their child(ren)’s current attendance rates. These letters will include a general attendance summary, and in cases where attendance falls below the expected threshold an Attendance Improvement Notice may also be issued, in line with Carmarthenshire County Council guidelines. We appreciate your support in promoting regular and punctual attendance.
