Dear Bluejay Family,
In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells the story of the Pharisee and the tax collector—one proud, the other humble. As Fr. Michael shared in his homily, Jesus Himself is the standard to which we should aspire—a balance of truth and mercy, strength and gentleness. Following that standard means keeping our eyes on Christ and striving each day to act as He would. And, when we fall short, responding with humility and relying on His grace and mercy, just as the tax collector did.
Speaking of high standards...Friday was absolutely beautiful! A heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers and PTC staffers whose energy, creativity, and care—from decorations to coffee service to the Spirit Shop—helped make Grandparents’ Day so special. We hope your parent-teacher conferences were equally meaningful, offering opportunities for open, fruitful conversations that strengthen the partnership between home and school.
May we continue to approach one another with trust, grace, and love, reflecting the standard Christ calls us to follow.
Grace & Peace,
Erin B. Henry

Carline and Walker Safety Reminders
Parents, we need your help to keep our morning arrival and afternoon dismissal safe and smooth for everyone. Please take note of the following procedures:
- Use the horseshoe drive behind the One Heart Building for all car riders. Please see the map linked below for reference.
- Walker dismissal has been adjusted to better control the flow of students exiting our gates. Thank you for your patience with this minor adjustment.

service project
3rd grade is organizing a pop tab collection for the Ronald McDonald Charities of South Louisiana again this year. Continue saving your pop tabs from any canned product (sodas, canned foods). We will also accept metal bottle tops. The aluminum pop tabs are recycled, just like you would recycle plastic containers or newspapers. The money generated from recycling the tabs is used in a general operating budget to ensure that the Ronald McDonald House remains open for families of sick or injured children.
This is a yearlong collection- you will bring in collections the week of April 27.
Please contact Mrs. Gilberti bgilberti@scsbluejays.org or Mrs.Williamson kwilliamson@scsbluejays.org if you have any questions. And start collecting!!!!
