Why being on time matters- To school staff Trinant Primary School

At Trinant Primary School, we pride ourselves on being welcoming and supportive. But when families arrive late, it creates a ripple effect that goes far beyond the front door. Behind the Scenes When a child arrives late: -Office staff must leave their desks to walk children to class. -Phones go unanswered. -Gates remain locked. -Registers and dinner numbers are delayed. -Messages pile up. -Staff are interrupted from other essential tasks. -There can be a knock on effect for others across the school and this can impact on the -children in all sorts of ways. The Signing-In Form Matters We kindly ask parents to complete the signing-in form themselves. It’s not just a formality — it’s how we: -Ensure accurate attendance records. -Confirm lunch orders. -Keep children safe - the forms part of our fire evacuation procedures When staff are asked to fill it in instead, it slows everything down — especially when there’s only one person covering the office. Lunch Orders: A Weekly System Every Thursday, we send out the menu and order form for the following week. This helps us prepare efficiently and avoid delays. If a child arrives late without a completed form, it adds extra pressure — especially when parents prefer to discuss choices rather than use the form.

A Gentle Reminder We understand that some families may arrive late to avoid parking issues or crowds. Others may enjoy a morning chat with our friendly staff. But please remember: every late arrival affects not just your child, but the whole school team. Let’s Work Together Being on time helps: -Children start their day calmly. -Staff focus on teaching and safety. -The school run smoothly for everyone.

Thank you for your support in helping us give every child — and every staff member — the best possible start to the day.
