Welcome to Year 2! We've had such a brilliant first week, and it's been lovely getting to know all the children. They've settled in so well, and we've really enjoyed seeing their personalities shine through already.
This week, our main focus has been helping everyone feel comfortable and settled in their new class. The children have taken part in lots of PSHE lessons, which has given them the chance to talk about any worries they may have had as well as enabling them to get to know each other better.
The children have also spent some time thinking about what makes them unique and we’ve had some lovely discussions about their strengths, the things they’re really good at, and also what they'd like to develop this year.
They’ve also had lots of fun using Lego, working in teams to plan and build different structures. It was great to see them showing good teamwork and creativity! They displayed brilliant oracy skills too, taking turns in conversations, listening to each other’s ideas, and even building on what others have said. It was a great way to work collaboratively, and everyone did a fantastic job.
