Good Things to Know:
- If you move, change your number, or need to update your email address, please contact the Main Office at 718.631.6800. Please also ask your child to stop by the Main Office to pick up 2 new Emergency Blue Cards.
- If your child is out sick - please send them in with a note the day they return to school. The note should go to Attendance in room 126.

After School Clubs
All MS74 Afterschool Clubs & Activities are posted in your child's Google Homeroom.
Lost Phone Pouch?
Replacement pouches must be purchased for $10. Only a check or money order, payable to "MS74 School Funds" will be accepted.
Please have your child go to Ms. JC's office, room 129, with the payment to receive a new pouch.
If your child is unable to connect with Ms. JC or doesn't have the check/ money order, your child must bring their phone to the Dean, Mr. Gallagher, in room 120 until a pouch is purchased/ obtained.
OMNY Cards
Ms. Lee can be found in room 126 to help your child obtain or replace their OMNY card.

11/10 Note from Guidance
The Guidance Dept will print SHSAT Test Tickets for all students taking the exam and will have them in the testing room on Wednesday.

10/30 Notice From Guidance
TACHS Registration is now closed; however, there will be a 3-day late registration opportunity beginning on Friday, 11/14 at 9:00 AM thru Sunday, 11/16 10:59 PM.
Students that register late will only have ONE day to test. The late registration students will test on Saturday, November 22nd. In addition, students who may have tech issue will also be scheduled to test with late registrants on 11/22.

We're proud to have partnered with Marble Health. Marble Health offers numerous FREE parent workshops to help parents navigate topics that are impacting families and students. Please click on the link above to learn about the available workshops this Fall.
2025-2026 Public High School Admissions Timeline
Friday, October 31: SHSAT registration closed
Wednesday, November 12: SHSAT School Day Administration
Sat, November 15 and Sun, November 16: SHSAT Weekend Administration for 8th grader
Wednesday, December 3: High School and LaGuardia applications close; deadline to submit additional materials (auditions and assessments) in MySchools.
NEW THIS YEAR: Digital SHSAT
Practice materials are now digital to match the test format. Students can use the tutorial and two full-length online practice exams linked on the SHSAT webpage, schools.nyc.gov/SHS. These resources mirror the actual exam in both form and content.
Families can also access the NYC SHSAT Portal, which includes:
- The Student Readiness Tool (SRT) tutorial
- “How to Prepare for the SHSAT” guide
- Digital practice tests with answer explanations
