NYSSMA is Open!
NYSSMA registration is open until March 14th! There are two forms - one for Instrumentals/ Vocals and the other for Piano. Culture Pass NYC
Exciting news for all Queens Public Library card holders (13+): Did you know you could apply for the Culture Pass and get into 100+ museums, cultural institutions, gardens, and theaters for FREE?
Is your child younger than 13? Parents/guardians can use their cards to make reservations and bring kids along as guests!

What To Do If:
- My child has been assigned to a Bus: TRACK your child's bus using the new NYC BUS APP.
- My child Qualifies, but did not receive an OMNY card: Please see note above.
- My child didn't Qualify for OMNY card or Yellow Bus: We are so sorry, but it is the Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT) that makes this determination, not our school staff. Please click here to learn more about Transportation Eligibility.
- I don't know if my child Qualifies for either OMNY or Yellow Bus. Please check the Transportation tab in your NYCSA account OR email Ms. Calderon mcalderon28@schools.nyc.gov
- My child LOST their OMNY Card. What do we do? Please see note above.

Upcoming Events at QBG - Free for Students & Families with UA Passes
Yuanxiao Chinese Lantern Festival - Sunday, February 16, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm Celebrate the Yuanxiao Lantern Festival and the end of the Lunar New Year holiday period with Queens Botanical Garden and the New York Hanfu Society. Try on traditional Chinese clothing and regalia at the Hanfu photo station. Test your brains with lantern riddles. Free entry for UA families- please present S+3 vouchers at the front desk of our Visitor & Administration Building.
Black History Month Craft & Storytime Monday, February 17, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Families are welcome to join us for a Black history themed story time and crafts in the Meeting Room of the V&A Building from 11AM to 1PM. No registration required. Free entry for UA families- please present S+3 vouchers at the front desk of our Visitor & Administration Building. While supplies last.
Jazz Trio by MMR Trio - Monday, February 17, 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The MMR Trio, a Queens based youth jazz band, will perform a set for the President’s Day celebration with jazz standards by Charlie Parker, Stan Getz, etc. Pieces will include I Remember April, Blues for Alice, and more! Registration is not required. Free entry for UA families- please present S+3 vouchers at the front desk of our Visitor & Administration Building.

- If you move, change your number, or need to update your email address, please contact the Main Office at 718.631.6800. Please also ask your child to stop by the Main Office to pick up 2 new Emergency Blue Cards.
- If your child is out sick - please send them in with a note the day they return to school. The note should go to Attendance in room 126.
