Mentor Badge

The earner of the 2023 Call for Code Mentor Badge is recognized for developing and cultivating a mentoring relationship with one or more Call for Code participants so that participants can use an IBM AI technology and submit a qualified project to a Call for Code program or Call for Code sponsored event. The individual has taken relevant training to ensure quality feedback and guidance is provided to the participants. Mentors are needed throughout the duration of the competition to guide participants towards developing the best solutions they can.

Mentoring is an important career development opportunity, which any individual can use to enhance skills and achieve long-term career aspirations. The earner has applied their skills to contribute to this global cause-based initiative to help tackle challenges facing society.

The badge will be issued to the earner within 4 weeks after submission of application.

Badge Description:

Criteria to earn the badge:

  • Show evidence of a minimum of three (3) 1:1 mentoring sessions with a Call for Code participant. - or -
  • Show evidence of a minimum of 10 separate engagements/interactions with participants in the Call for Code Slack channel - or -
  • Badge earner must have developed and presented an Expert Talk (Technology/ Sustainability/Professional Development) video/webinar for a Call for Code program or Call for Code sponsored event.
