I have created an apple in space. I do not know why, I just wanted to, so I did. When I made this I learned most of the tools that Corel Painter 2020 had to offer. I used many brushes and splicing tools to create the Spapple. My goal with this was to create a somewhat humorous piece of spacey goodness. I feel that it is decent for my first art piece but it could be improved, but I'm not going to, I will keep it as a reminder. I hope my audience finds this piece just as confusing as I did when I was making it, but that they feel some amusement as well.
This is a piece of a woman using patterns and a digital brush. I got to learn how to use a digital pattern brush to make this. This is based off of a real person but I don’t know who they are. It was just a random photo I found on the internet. I hope to have captured Mexican Cinco de Mayo culture with this. This was very fun to make and I would do it again but I most likely won’t. I hope to create the feeling of something to do with May and its 5th day.
A picture of a harp seal laying down that I found, traced, and redid. I tried to learn a shading technique with this one but I'm not sure how it turned out, I don’t have many references. With this one I just wanted to capture my favorite animal in a style of a certain kind. I also really like this one because it was fun to make but time consuming, I like harp seals. I hope you feel this is neat and not bland, don’t pay attention to the blue in the nose area or the fact that it's not fully colored.
By far my favorite one to make and based off The Battle of Britain. The Battle of Britain was definitely one of my most favorite battles to learn about. I did not include more aircraft in the background for reasons you don’t need to know. This depicts a British Spitfire rushing into battle after defeating an Me 110. I used digital watercolor for this one, I don’t know why just go with it. I hope to have captured a small piece of history during WW2 here. And I hope that for the 3 people that see this that you like it too.
