Welcome to Maple "The greatest sign of success for a teacher is to be able to say, “The children are now working as if I did not exist.” - Maria Montessori

Highlights:-

Welcome Maple families to toddler Bi-weekly scribble. The weeks went by fast, and March is here. The beautiful weather was perfect for the toddlers to be out and about. The toddlers certainly needed the sunlight and fresh air. They definitely enjoyed being outdoors.

It was good to see you all last week at conferences. It is important to be part of your child's learning. I appreciate your time and support! For the past weeks we have the following areas covered:

Practical Life Skill:-

In the practical section children are practicing new activities; Garlic press with sponges, Rolling and unrolling hand towels, nail polishing (water) and Hair care. Practical life skills are a great concept to introduce to young children. Children are proud when they can do things like their parents or adults and enjoy perfecting the process along the way. It help them to be independent and have a greater self-esteem with practical life skills activities.

Sensorial Area:-

In the sensorial section children are trying to put dinosaurs in the sequence shortest to tallest, this teaches the concept of sorting and order. It helps children's see differences in sizes of objects that are the same or similar. Children learns to match fabrics by touch without looking at fabric. It enables children to notice patterns and grooves that match a fabric's texture.

Math Area:-

In the math section children are trying to understand one to one correspondence, pattering and how to measure dinosaurs? One-to one correspondence is assigning a number to one and only one object at a time. Patterning is also a very fun activity for children, it help them to identifying patterns, noticing similarities and differences, and creating repeating patterns.

Science Area:-

This week we also discussed the types of dinosaurs, we learned that dinosaurs are large creatures with big heads and jaws lined with razor -sharp teeth. Some dinosaurs size are big and long necked some are small. Some could run fast on their long back legs. They are trying to learn more facts about dinosaurs by fossil dig in sensory table. The children find it very interesting and are looking forward.

Language Area:-

In the language section children are introduced to new activities; the silent game and picture to picture matching dinosaur lotto cards. The silence game helps children develop both self-discipline and an awareness of the sounds around them. Matching dinosaur lotto cards is a really fun part for children's, it help them to recognize size, color, and shapes.

Art Area:-

In the Art section, children are enjoying coloring on paper plate and a paper roll to create dinosaurs. This activity help them to develop their creativity, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to follow instructions. It also encourages imaginative thinking and enhances their understanding of shapes and textures while having fun.

We hope you will enjoy all the fun activities we are learning and practicing in our classroom.

Thank you!
