THE Production Team

Doug Brown (Director) serves as Department Chair for Theater & Dance at High Point University, where he teaches acting, directs, and performs in the production season. He has directed over 22 productions at HPU, including A Christmas Carol, Silent Sky, Cinderella, Working, These Shining Lives, and The Amish Project. Acting credits include Pa Joad (The Grapes of Wrath), Pozzo (Waiting for Godot), and Joe Keller (All My Sons). Doug also works with young artists through Lexington Youth Theatre, where he has directed productions including Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Annie, and The Sound of Music. He is a member of Actors Equity and holds an MFA from the Florida State University/Asolo Conservatory and certification to teach the Meisner Method from Larry Silverberg's True Acting Institute.

The CAST

Charles Lambeth (Mr. Van Dann) is excited to be making his debut with HPCT. He is equally thrilled that this important production is in partnership with GTCC. Charles has done some commercials and small films, but theater is his true love. His credits include Neil Simon’s Rumors, Twelve Angry Men, The Nerd, The Real Inspector Hound, Prelude to a Kiss, and Blithe Spirit. Charles would like to dedicate this performance to his nephews, Mac and Finch, who endlessly ran lines with him.

Kayla Miller (Anne Frank) is so grateful for the opportunity to tell this story onstage. Kayla is a recent graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Theatre Arts, and a minor in Dance Studies. Favorite roles include The Ghost of Christmas Future (“A Christmas Carol”), Heather McNamara (“Heathers”), and Charlotte (“Cinderella”). Kayla wants to say a big thank you to her family for always being her biggest supporters, and to Colin for making the 8,500-mile trek to watch her perform.

Bob Montle (Mr. Kraler) is originally from Michigan, moving to NC in 1986. He has loved theatre all his life but was too scared to perform until coerced into playing Mr. Macy in Miracle on 34th, twelve years ago.  After eight roles in Statesville he moved to Clemmons and has been fortunate to perform at LTWS, Stained Glass, Theatre Alliance and KLT.  His favorite role was Laertes at Camel City and was most recently seen as Theseus at Lexington Live.  He wishes to thank his wife for supporting him in these shows, especially this one with its amazing and talented cast.

Clayton Morgan (Peter Van Daan) is 22 years old and has been doing theater all over the triad! Notable roles include Will Parker from Oklahoma with Little Theatre of Winston Salem, Jack from Into the Woods with RSVP, and Eddie McCuen from The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 with Stained Glass playhouse! Clayton has loved being able to portray Peter ans show his story to everyone. He’d like to thank his mom, girlfriend Mollie, and everyone who has always supported him.

Madelyn Mudd is honored to play Miep in this incredible story. After growing up in community theatre in southern Maryland, Madelyn pursued degrees in Theater Performance and Strategic Communication at High Point University in 2024. Offstage, she blends her passion for communication and theatre as a Marketing Coordinator at Tanger Center. She would like to thank her family and friends, Doug Brown, and Logan for all their support!

Isabella Siegel (Margot Frank) is an actor, character performer (Reserving Royalty, NC), and stage manager (Stagedoor Manor, NY) from south Atlanta. She is a current graduate student at High Point University (MA) where she received her BA in Theatre Performance. Some of her favorite roles include Henrietta Leavitt in Silent Sky and #13 in The Wolves. She's forever thankful for her family, friends, and Doug Brown for supporting her in this beautiful play.
