हमारे विद्यालय में 26 जनवरी का गणतंत्र दिवस बड़े धूमधाम और उल्लास के साथ मनाया गया। इस दिन का आयोजन विद्यालय के प्रांगण में किया गया, जिसमें प्रधानाचार्य ने ध्वजारोहण किया। इसके बाद विद्यार्थियों ने देशभक्ति से जुड़े गीत और कविताएँ प्रस्तुत की। साथ ही, सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन हुआ, जिसमें नृत्य और भाषणों के माध्यम से देश के वीर सपूतों और भारतीय संविधान की महिमा को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की गई। विद्यालय के छात्रों ने मिलकर एकता और अखंडता का संदेश दिया। यह दिन हम सभी के लिए गर्व और प्रेरणा का स्रोत बना।
SPECIAL GAMES FOR CWSN: A Grand Celebration of Inclusion & Determination
Bal Bhavan Public School proudly hosted the Special Games for Children with Special Needs (CWSN), a two-day event that celebrated resilience, determination, and the spirit of sportsmanship. The presence of esteemed guests, Mr. Himanshu Gupta, IAS, Secretary, CBSE, and Dr. Upasana Arora, President, Special Olympics Bharat - Delhi Chapter and Sh.Manjit Singh Director, Sports CBSE added prestige to the occasion, reinforcing the significance of inclusivity in sports.
The event was a vibrant display of unwavering spirit as young athletes showcased their talents, breaking barriers and embracing the joy of competition. Pariksha Pe Charcha, an enriching initiative by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, continues to inspire students, parents, and educators to embrace examinations with confidence and a positive mindset. Our Principal, Mr. Vividh Gupta, emphasizes the significance of this interactive platform, which transforms exam stress into a journey of learning and self-improvement.
Our talented students have showcased their creativity by designing vibrant posters to promote Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025, an initiative by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji. These artworks beautifully capture the essence of stress-free learning, confidence, and a positive approach toward exams.
Drawing insights from the PM’s book, Exam Warriors, the program reinforces the values of discipline, resilience, and joy in learning. By implementing these strategies, students can approach their academic journey with enthusiasm and self-assurance.

EXPLORING INDIA'S POSTAL HERITAGE : A Visit to the National Philatelic Museum

Bal Bhavan students had an inspiring and educational visit to the National Philatelic Museum in Connaught Place, where they explored the rich history of India’s postal services. During this visit, the students engaged in the art of postcard and letter writing, crafting heartfelt messages addressed to the Hon’ble Prime Minister. The highlight of the day was the opportunity to meet Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, the Minister of State for Communications. Dr. Pemmasani shared valuable insights into India’s postal heritage, emphasizing the significance of communication in shaping the nation. The event, organized by Dak Bhawan, was a part of the 75th-anniversary celebrations of India Post, blending history, creativity, and inspiration. This visit not only deepened the students' appreciation for India’s postal legacy but also encouraged them to explore the power of written communication in the modern world.

WORKSHOP ON MEDITATION AND WELLNESS
Rumi once said, ‘The soul has been given its own ears to hear things the mind does not understand.’ With this thought, Bal Bhavan Public School organized a rejuvenating workshop on Meditation and Wellness for its educators. The session was led by the esteemed Shri Ramesh Kandpal, Senior Instructor and Convener from Akhil Bhartiya Anuvrat Nyas, Delhi. Shri Kandpal guided participants through mindfulness and holistic practices, emphasizing the importance of mental and emotional well-being in today’s fast-paced world. Congratulations to Shreyansh Mishra of Class V for his outstanding achievement! His creative and beautifully designed poster on the theme of Christmas has been published in the January 2025 Edition of Brainfeed High magazine as part of the Talent O Scope competition. His artistic talent and imaginative expression have earned him well-deserved recognition, along with a cash prize of ₹500.

SPACE PROGRAM
“The child can be the next Astronaut, Astronomer, Explorer, or Scientist”
The Space Explorers Workshop, held on 13th January 2025 at Bal Bhavan Public School, Mayur Vihar Phase 2, in collaboration with Team Space, was an engaging and educational event designed to inspire young minds and ignite their passion for space exploration.
Students were introduced to basic concepts of astronomy, such as planets, moons, and stars, with a focus on the role of telescopes in planetary observation. They had the opportunity to use telescopes to directly observe planets, with Jupiter and Saturn being the highlights of the evening. Students from Classes 6 to 10 also learned astrophotography techniques, actively studying camera components and methods while capturing images of the Moon, Saturn, and Jupiter.
The workshop also explored the latest advancements in space technology, the future of space exploration, and the interdisciplinary collaboration required for human space travel and sustainability. It gathered educators and space enthusiasts for thought-provoking discussions and hands-on demonstrations.
The event was a resounding success, fostering a love for space science and exploration among young participants. By igniting curiosity and nurturing interest in space, this workshop has the potential to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and astronauts.
YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION – Honoring Swami Vivekananda and his Lifelong Teachings
On January 13, BBPS-MV celebrated National Youth Day in honour of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary. The event began with a short video about his life and teachings, followed by engaging discussions in the classrooms. These discussions helped students gain a deeper understanding of Swami Vivekananda’s values, focusing on self-reliance, strength, and spiritual growth.
Various activities were conducted across different grade levels. Students from classes III to V participated in mindfulness exercises, promoting emotional awareness and focus. Classes VI and VII engaged in ACP module discussions, which encouraged critical thinking. Class VIII students showcased their creativity through writing exercises centered on Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, while students of class IX composed and shared self-written poems. Finally, class XI students took part in discussions about leadership skills, helping them develop qualities of responsible leadership.
The celebration successfully inspired students to embrace Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and foster creativity, mindfulness, and leadership in their lives.
DRIVING CHANGE : Road Safety Week
During Road Safety Week, Bal Bhavan Public School organized a variety of creative and educational activities to raise awareness about road safety among students. Primary and middle school students participated in engaging events such as making route maps to school, writing safety slogans, creating posters, and designing traffic signs. These activities encouraged students to creatively express their understanding of road safety while learning valuable lessons about responsible behaviour on the road.
A short video highlighting the dangers of speeding and the importance of obeying traffic rules was shown to students, followed by an interactive class discussion to reinforce these crucial messages. Additionally, a quiz was conducted to test students' knowledge on traffic rules, pedestrian safety, and responsible driving, making learning fun and engaging. Senior students were also involved in essay writing and poster-making activities to further promote road safety awareness within the school community. These initiatives, supported by educational and traffic authorities, aimed to foster a safer, more responsible road culture.
CELEBRATING LOHRI : A Festival of Harvest, Unity, and Tradition
Lohri is not just a festival; it’s a celebration of harvest, and the spirit of togetherness.
On 13th April, Bal Bhavan Public School celebrated the lively festival of Lohri with great enthusiasm and joy. Lohri, a traditional harvest festival, marks the beginning of the harvest season, symbolizing prosperity and warmth. The school’s celebration brought together both staff and students, who participated in various cultural activities. The event featured traditional songs, and the lighting of a bonfire, creating a festive atmosphere. The event highlighted the significance of fostering a sense of unity and appreciation for India’s rich traditions.
